From wire sources: WILLISTON, Vt. (AP) — Vermont’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Dubie has conceded the race to his Democratic opponent Peter Shumlin. Dubie made the announcement at a Wednesday morning news conference at his Williston campaign headquarters. On an Autumn day…

The calendar still says early Autumn, but most of Vermont is well past peak foliage.  This photo was taken in Woodstock, en route to a hockey clinic on a Saturday morning in the middle of October. And this pair of turkeys (a whole rafter, actually) stopped by the VermontMornings.com apple tree, gorged, and moved on.

Along with several other states, it’s Primary Day here in Vermont.  In most places, polls are open until 7:00 PM. If you don’t vote today, your license to bitch about almost anything is revoked.  If you don’t vote today, shut the hell up.  You don’t get democracy.
