BREAKING NEWS: Barre Man Dies In Copter Crash

A Barre man is dead after the experimental helicopter he was flying crashed at E.F. Knapp Airport in Berlin Friday. Police say 63-year old Ron York of Barre Town was at the controls when the aircraft appeared to have mechanical problems as it approached the airport. A Berlin man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting his niece and her boyfriend…with a crowbar. State police say 45-year-old Alan LaPan was upset because 24-year-old Sara LaPan and 25-year-old Chris Lovely had not returned a piece of equipment that belonged to him. Tractor Mystery Solved

The mystery of the stolen farm tractor has been solved. Police say 40-year-old Steven Trembley of Highgate stole the tractor last weekend in the town of Georgia so he could use it to mow a field 20 miles-away in Colchester. POLICE LOG: Green Thumb Bandit Strikes In Walden

A thief with an eye for perennials and spring color has struck a Walden home. 55-year-old Katherine Kotulak told authorities that someone stole potted plants from her Route-15 residence last week. The missing plants are described by police as being yellow marguerites and white daisies.
