She will appear tonight (Saturday) at 9pm at the Tamarack Grill at Burke Mountain with the group, The Bon Ton Parade, and THE SHOW IS FREE.

Tired of holding your breath?

January 19th, 2009 · No Comments

This much I know:  The departure, at noon Tuesday, of the current occupant is a good thing for this country.  Eight years of this administration is…eight years too many.  Regardless of what side of the aisle you’re on, there is nothing that suggests, short or long-term, that W’s tenure was anything but an utter disaster [...]

“Hi,” I said. “I’m Todd Wellington.”

“Oh,” she said smiling. “I listen to you every morning.”

I waited for a few seconds as my brain processed the awkward nature of the situation. I silently wished [...]

Dear Listeners
On New Year’s Day 2009 I was told that my seven-year run on the WGMT Morning Show was over.
The need for the radio station to cut operating costs was cited.
I was out sick the previous week and had heard from other employees that they were being asked to take pay cuts so I was [...]

Brotherly Love

January 1st, 2009 · No Comments

Jake Laferriere died of cancer in August of 2000.  Ever since, his brother Fred, who owns Mayo’s Furniture in St. Johnsbury, has been a tireless fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  He gets much of the credit for the success of the annual Relay for Life, and he also gets much of the credit (blame??) [...]
