So our studio was graced on Monday morning by Carolyn Cross and Donna Cross, mother-in-law of Carolyn of The Sewing Studio in St. Johnsbury and mother of Jamie Cross, big executive dude at E-H-V Weidmann. Carolyn says Donna, who is here for Thanksgiving week, is a darn good cook, which begs the title question today. The Cross gals came bearing gifts today…many delicious foodstuffs. Todd snuck out early and brought the MacLaren’s cheese with him, Steve secreted away the matrimonial cake and the remaining nanaimo bars, which may be the most deliciously sinful foodstuff ever created. They also brought us a few Moose souvenirs and those gorgeous Winnipeg touques being modeled above.

We’ll try to work a deal out where maybe we can take the ViaRail from Montreal to Winnipeg, spend a week or three with Donna and then maybe head back. If they give us the key to the city and let Steve do the arena announcing duties for a Manitoba Moose game, maybe we’ll spend the summer there. Stay tuned.

hi, Caffeinators:
Well, if it makes you guys feel any better, you’d fit right in in Winnipeg in those toques! Ya look like a couple of real hosers, eh? Beauty way to go!
I suggest a visit to Winnipeg in the third week of January when it will be -40 C with a brutally cold wind, making the wind chill temp around -200.
Todd, thanks for posting the snippet of the Guess Who tune! Live version… very nice!
Do you like curling? Like it’s a beauty sport…you can drink beer while you’re competing, eh. Not like hockey.
I can’t believe that curling is not popular in Vermont…it’s a natural fit for the NEK. We’ll go to a curling bonspiel up in Stanstead and you can check it out.
Take off, eh?
Cheers!
Jamie

So listen, eh…like -40 is nothing, you know? That’s the temperature we chill these Mooseheads down to before we start the great feast of cheese doodles and beer this Thursday! -125 is about when I start thinking about puttin’ on a long sleeve shirt.
So we went curling once, you know? And that stone or rock or whatever ended up in the passenger seat of Todd’s VW Golf, you know that ’79 duct tape special he had? Along with all that windshield glass. So curling, you know, that’s not a favorite of his, eh? But if they’ve got beer, we’re there.
Okay, that’s about it for now. Todd says send more of that MacLaren cheese, eh?
