When Tomorrow Comes

Miss Tess

On Saturday evening at 8:30, you get a second chance to hear a great singer.

Because Jason Palmer at Burke Mountain has a great ear and a commitment to GOOD music, he is bringing Miss Tess back to the Tamarack Grill.  You may remember several weeks back, after her first appearance at Burke, that I went on the radio and then came here to vermontmornings.com and urged you not to take these kinds of things for granted.   I was among a handful of people that showed up, afterwards I bought all three of her CD’s, and “When Tomorrow Comes“, a song that appears on ALL THREE recordings, has found a place on my list of Top Five Songs of All Time.

I showed up at the first gig because I went to her website and listened to all the songs that you can hear online.  You should do the same.  Then call 802-626-7300 and book your space for Saturday night.

Friday morning, in a pre-recorded interview, Miss Tess and I spent a few minutes talking about music and people who go to concerts and where to go for really great fried chicken.  (Hint:  a tough prospect in the 617 area code.)

, and if you haven’t already done so, then go to her website and then call 802-626-7300 and book your space for Saturday night.

If it sounds like I’m being bossy and selfish, you’re one hundred percent correct.  I want her to come back here often.   I will not take her for granted, nor should you.  Sadly, I am scheduled to be in New York City this weekend, so if you will be at the show and you have a cellphone, please send me an e-mail at steve@nicholscommunications.com, because I will want to call you Saturday evening and have you hold the phone up while she sings “When Tomorrow Comes.”

But even if you have no cellphone, heed this message.  If you love good music, support this artist and support what the Burke Mountain Music Series represents for all of us in the Northeast Kingdom.  Beatlemania can wait.  Miss Tess is the real deal.
