Back in 2005, Bess O’Brien of Kingdom County Productions got a grant to create a musical that tells the story of Vermont teenagers making their way through high school. (Sound familiar, Disney fans? It’s not, thank goodness.)

Last year Bess adapted the stage musical into a movie and she has spent the summer touring the movie all around the state.
