The lady in the tank is Libby Lefaivre, daughter of Larry & Oralee Lefaivre, the folks we know and love from the Burke View Garage in Lyndonville. 

Libby, a graduate of Lyndon Institute, has a degree in Marine Biology (eat your heart out, Costanza!) and got what we believe is the dream job:  She’s in charge of the touch tank at Tropicana Field in Tampa, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, currently leading the American League East over the Red Sox by two and a half games.  She gets to hang out with the rays…and she gets to hang out with The Rays.

Libby sent us a bunch of souvenirs, including posters, caps and shirts.  Thanks, Libby!  Steve is planning a trip to central Florida in early August and will try to squeeze in a visit to Tropicana Field. 

Meanwhile, we firmly believe there are two reasons that the Rays can win it all this year:

1)  Sacking Lou Piniella.

2)  Hiring Libby Lefaivre. 

But will they give her a ring???????
