At 5:08 PM on Friday, April 4th, 2008, meteorologist Steve Maleski at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium confirmed that with an additional 0.1″ of new snow, we have now broken the record. From Steve Maleski at 4:09 PM: As of 4:06 p.m., 0.8” new wet snow had accumulated at the Fairbanks Museum, St. Johnsbury.  The winter’s snowfall now stands at 139.0”, tying the record set in the winter of 1968-69.  Light to moderate wet snow was falling, and radar shows moderate precipitation upstream.
